By using Modu you agree to these terms.

The service

Modu helps you read and study Chinese. Features are provided "as is". We may change or discontinue features over time.

Subscriptions (Modu Plus)

Plus is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or a one-time lifetime purchase, sold through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.

Your content

You are responsible for the legality of any text, files, or feeds you import into Modu, and for having the right to use them.

Usage limits

Some AI-backed features (explanations, narration, generated reading) have daily or monthly usage limits, so the service stays available and affordable for everyone. Current limits are shown in the app. Reaching a limit never blocks the app — it falls back to a free alternative, for example the built-in system voice for narration.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app or attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse the AI services.
