Is Modu free?
Yes — reading, dictionary, offline translation, spaced-repetition review, imports and more are free. Modu Plus adds AI explanations (up to 30 requests per day), natural voices (300,000 characters a month, after which narration falls back to the free system voice), full cloud sync and AI-generated reading (up to 30 requests per day; retries also count).
Do I need an account?
No — Modu works fully offline as a guest, and buying Plus doesn't require one either. Signing in is optional: it backs up your vocabulary list for free, and Plus additionally syncs known words, statistics, reading progress and your nickname.
How do I restore my subscription?
Open the paywall and tap “Restore purchases”.
